FAM and PUMA launched two new Harimau Malaya shirts on 20 September, one for home matches and one for away, both for the 2026/27 season.
Two shirts, one identity
The association’s own post put the campaign in a single line: “TWO JERSEYS, ONE IDENTITY.”
It described the pairing this way: “The fearless stripes of Hitam Kuning meet Harimau Malaya’s navy blue.”
Both are on sale on the official store and at selected PUMA and Al-Ikhsan outlets. The launch lands roughly a month after the side’s last ASEAN Championship campaign finished.
The last time the colours were on the pitch
Harimau Malaya last played competitively in the two ASEAN Championship semi-final legs against Vietnam in August. They lost 0-2 in Kuala Lumpur on 16 August, then 2-0 again in Hanoi on 19 August.
Before that they had beaten the Philippines 1-0 in the group stage on 8 August. The two August defeats ended the campaign at the semi-final stage, after they had come through the group.
Of their last five matches in that competition, two were won and three lost.
What stays
Squads change every campaign; the colours do not. The old shirt carries a campaign that ended in the semi-finals, and the new one starts with no record at all.
A kit launch rarely moves a league table. It does mark the point where one campaign is filed away and the next is allowed to begin, which is why a national shirt is never only a product — it is the first thing of a new season a supporter can actually hold.
