Players and coaching staff of Negeri Sembilan FC joined volunteers from Team Matrix to hand out food supplies at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi, the club said on 13 October.
The club was a partner in the Matrix Foodbank Drive 2.2, which delivered essential supplies to 70 families in need across the state, according to its statement. Matrix Concepts organised the programme with Kechara Soup Kitchen and held it to mark the company’s 30th anniversary. The statement ties the drive to the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular ending hunger and strengthening community well-being.
Kelvin Lee Chin Chuan, group managing director of Matrix Concepts, attended with Louis Tan Say Kuan, the company’s executive director and chief financial officer. Chief executive Faliq Firdaus represented Negeri Sembilan FC. The club said the partnership lets it support community initiatives that directly benefit people in the state.
On the pitch, Negeri Sembilan FC are eighth in the Malaysia Super League with 4 points from 4 matches, 11 behind the leaders. They host Sabah FC on 17 October at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Seremban, with kick-off at 5pm.
