The 2026-27 Malaysia FA Cup final will be played at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Saturday 16 January 2027, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced on 4 November.

The decision was taken at the third meeting of the MFL board for its 2025-2029 term, held on 3 November, because TM Stadium Nasional in Bukit Jalil cannot be used while its pitch, running track and facilities are upgraded for the 2027 SEA Games. According to MFL, the Malaysian Stadium Corporation (PSM) has confirmed that the work is expected to be finished in May 2027.

MFL said the board weighed the condition of the playing surface, logistics, accommodation for the two teams and the stadium’s facilities, among them the main stand, corporate suites, access, security and the needs of the live broadcast. It gives the stadium’s capacity as 35109.

A second final in Iskandar Puteri

The ground also staged the 2023 final, in which Johor Darul Ta’zim beat Kuala Lumpur City 2-0 on 22 July 2023. MFL points as well to two Harimau Malaya matches there: a Tier 1 friendly against Palestine on 8 September 2025, which Harimau Malaya won 1-0, and a qualifier against Nepal on 25 March 2025.

The two finalists are still to be decided. Selangor FC won the first leg of their semi-final against Kuching City FC 2-1 and take that one-goal lead to Kuching for the second leg on 8 November, according to an MFL report of 30 October.
