Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will each put a Legends side on the pitch at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 27 March 2027, both clubs announced on 23 September.

A charity fixture over Easter

The date falls on the Easter weekend, and the game is a fundraiser rather than a competitive tie. Money raised goes to the Chelsea Foundation, and the fixture is also set up to support the community work carried out in Tottenham Hotspur’s name.

Laura Cordingley, chief executive of the Chelsea Foundation, said the match would give supporters “the opportunity to see some of their heroes back at Stamford Bridge”.

Marc Leckie, who runs the community side of Tottenham Hotspur’s work, said the fixture “promises to be a fantastic occasion at Stamford Bridge”.

When tickets go on sale

Chelsea have published the order in which the ground fills up. Season ticket holders may buy from Monday 5 October, members get their window from Wednesday 7 October, and the general public from Thursday 8 October.

Every ticket is sold online and subject to availability.

The last time these Legends played

Tottenham Hotspur say the last outing for their Legends at a Premier League ground came in March 2025, a 6-2 win against AC Milan Glorie at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Both announcements lean on the rivalry between the two clubs, and the senior version of it is not a museum piece. The clubs last met on 1 August 2026, Tottenham Hotspur winning 2-1.

Who plays is still open

Tottenham Hotspur say details of their squad will be announced in due course. Neither announcement names a player.

“This match against Tottenham Hotspur will reignite a legendary rivalry on the pitch”

— Laura Cordingley, chief executive of the Chelsea Foundation
