Yes and Ryt Bank are now the official Title Partners of the Football Association of Malaysia, FAM said in a joint media release on 29 October. The partnership was formalised at an official ceremony and carries the banner Demi Bola Sepak Malaysia.
According to the release, the planned initiatives cover youth football, community engagement, match-day experiences and digital content. FAM, Yes and Ryt Bank plan to develop that work over the coming years, and that the banner will also highlight emerging talent and the people shaping the game across different ages, genders and communities.
What supporters are offered
Customers of the two companies can expect FAM-related offers, including match tickets and limited-edition merchandise, subject to promotional terms. Yes will also bring its connectivity to fan engagement and digital content, while Ryt Bank will support the social side of the game, from futsal sessions to match-day gatherings, through digital payments and transfers. Details of offers, eligibility and availability will be announced separately, the release says.
What the three said
FAM president Dato’ Ab Ghani bin Hassan said football is “a source of national pride and a shared passion for Malaysians from every background”. He said FAM looks forward to working with the two companies to bring supporters closer to the national game and create more opportunities for emerging talent.
Wing K. Lee, chief executive of YTL Communications, said: “Every Malaysian has a football story, whether it began on a kampung padang or a futsal court in the city”. Wilson Soon, interim chief executive of Ryt Bank, said the sport “creates moments that bring people together”.
On the pitch, Harimau Malaya last played on 5 October, beating Vietnam 1-0 in the bronze final of the FIFA ASEAN Cup at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
Further details of the programmes and supporter benefits will be announced in due course, the joint release says.
