Negeri Sembilan FC go to DPMM FC without Mio Tsuneyasu, Ryan Sanizal and Wai Lin Aung, who have not recovered from injury, the club said on its website on 28 October.
Head coach Daniel Gimenez said every other player was fit and available, and that the squad had no suspensions. He described DPMM FC as dangerous, with talented and technically skilled players, and said their recent results had been good except against Johor Darul Ta’zim. Gimenez also pointed to the extra demands of travel and accommodation on an away trip, but said the aim was to come home with three points.
DPMM FC lost 3-0 to Johor Darul Ta’zim at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on 4 September and 2-0 at home in a Malaysia FA Cup semi-final on 23 October. In between, they beat Kuching City FC 3-2 in Bandar Seri Begawan on 18 October, Dalberto scoring twice.
The Malaysia Super League table has DPMM FC fourth with nine points from five matches and Negeri Sembilan FC eighth with five. The visitors drew 1-1 with Sabah FC in Seremban on 17 October. The two clubs last met on 12 April 2026, also in Seremban, and drew 2-2.
The match is on Friday 30 October at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, kicking off at 4pm Malaysian time.
