Supporters still weighing a trip to Jakarta for the FIFA ASEAN Cup have two ticket windows left, and the first of the three has already shut. FAM said on 23 September that sales for Harimau Malaya’s opening match against Bangladesh had closed.

The two deadlines

Tickets for the Indonesia match are on sale until 11:59pm on Friday, 25 September 2026, Malaysian time. The Singapore window runs to the same hour on Monday, 28 September 2026.

Both sales run through the association itself. FAM said on 22 September that tickets for the matches in Jakarta and Bandung can only be bought through it, and circulated a QR code for supporters to scan.

The three matches

Harimau Malaya open against Bangladesh at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on 25 September, kicking off at 5pm Malaysian time. Indonesia are the opponents at the same ground on 28 September at 8.30pm, and Singapore at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung on 1 October, again at 8.30pm.

All three are Division 1 group-stage matches, and all three are played away from home, which is what makes the deadlines worth marking for anyone thinking of travelling rather than watching from a sofa. Our schedule article has the full group calendar.

What came before

The last competitive football Harimau Malaya played was the ASEAN Championship semi-final in August, and both legs went to Vietnam: 0-2 at Kuala Lumpur Stadium in Cheras on 16 August, then 2-0 at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on 19 August.

Jakarta is a fresh tournament rather than a continuation of that, then. One timing quirk is worth noting for anyone booking late: the Indonesia window does not close until 11:59pm on the same day the opener is played. FAM has confirmed the squad for the trip.
