Indonesia beat Singapore 2-0 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on 25 September, the second Group A tie played in Division 1 of the FIFA ASEAN Cup.
Two goals, the second from the spot
FIFA’s account of the night has Ragnar Oratmangoen scoring in the 13th minute, turning in a ball squared from the right by the debutant Luke Vickery.
The hosts then created plenty and converted none of it until the 74th minute, when Ole Romeny scored from the penalty spot after a handball at an Indonesia free-kick.
That free-kick came from a dismissal. Singapore played the last 20 minutes with ten men after Safuwan Baharudin was shown a red card on a VAR review.
What it does to Group A
FIFA places the co-hosts alongside the side that had already won earlier the same day: “they joined Malaysia at the Division 1, Group A summit after a 2-0 win over Singapore”.
That earlier result was Harimau Malaya’s 3-0 win over Bangladesh at this same ground.
Both sides meet Harimau Malaya next
Harimau Malaya play Indonesia at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on 28 September, kicking off at 20:30 Malaysian time — the second of their three group matches, and the one against the side now level with them.
Singapore are the third opponent, at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung on 1 October, also at 20:30.
