Sikh Izhan says sharing the Selangor FC goal with Kalamullah Al-Hafiz and Azim Al Amin does not worry him

Selangor FC goalkeeper Sikh Izhan says he would have no problem if head coach Kim Pan Gon rotated the position between him, Kalamullah Al-Hafiz and Azim Al Amin, in an interview MFL published on 30 October.

Sikh told MFL he was optimistic about the chance he has been given in goal, even with two other goalkeepers competing for the place. He described the rivalry between the three as healthy and said he knew what both of his team-mates could do. If Azim or Kalamullah get the chance to play, he said, he would keep encouraging them and showing faith in them. By MFL’s count, Sikh has played seven matches in all competitions, including ties in the Malaysia FA Cup.

The semi-final lead

Sikh called the 2-1 win over Kuching City FC in the first leg of the Malaysia FA Cup semi-final the work of the whole team. R. Saifullah put the visitors ahead in the 9th minute at MBPJ Stadium on 23 October, and E. Sosa replied in the 19th minute and again in the 58th minute. Sikh said the match had been very hard and that the side at least had a one-goal advantage to take to Kuching.

Before the second leg, Selangor FC host Star City FC in the Malaysia Super League at MBPJ Stadium on 1 November, kicking off at 9pm. The return against Kuching City FC is at Taha Ariffin Stadium in Kuching on 8 November, with kickoff at 7.45pm Malaysian time.
