P. Maniam’s Harimau Malaya B-15 squad leave for Baku, Azerbaijan, on Thursday for the FIFA U-15 Festival & World Cup, FAM said in a post on 20 October. The tournament runs from 24 to 30 October 2026.

In a second post that day, the federation said the squad had been given a morale boost before the flight. To prepare, Maniam called up 22 players for a centralised camp at the Mokhtar Dahari National Football Academy in Gambang, Pahang, FAM said in a media release on 14 October.

The first edition of the tournament is played eight-a-side, and each group is a single round-robin in the qualifying stage, according to that release. The side are in Group H with Dominica, Syria, Ethiopia, Hungary and Mexico, and all of their group matches are at the Hövsan Competition Complex.

Their campaign opens against Dominica on 24 October.
