Harimau Malaya B-15 drew 1-1 with Hungary in Baku on 26 October, according to FAM’s full-time post. It was the first of their four Group H matches at the FIFA U-15 Festival & World Cup that Malaysia did not win.

The two matches before it were both wins. FAM posted a 3-1 full-time score against Syria on 25 October. Its second post that day gave a 5-0 win over Ethiopia. Those followed the 3-1 win over Dominica on 24 October, the opening fixture on FAM’s schedule.

P. Maniam named a final squad of 14 players in a FAM media release on 23 October. They all come from two schools, SMK Gambang in Pahang and SMK Taman Desa Skudai in Johor. Maniam’s staff are assistant head coach M. Lingeswaran, goalkeeping coach Norazlan Razali and fitness coach Ahmad Radzi Mohd Salleh Raibi. Every match is eight-a-side at the Hovsan Competition Complex, with 20 minutes in each half.

FAM’s schedule set Malaysia’s last Group H qualifying match, against Mexico, for 10.15pm Malaysian time on 26 October. The group positions decide which of levels A to F each side plays in for the rest of the tournament, on 28, 29 and 30 October.
