Johor Darul Ta’zim have begun counting the 2026-27 season’s silverware in public. The club’s own account published a list of its domestic honours on 28 September, and the Charity Cup heads it.
A ninth in a row
The post calls that the first trophy of the season, and says the club took it “for the ninth consecutive time since 2018”. By the same count it is an 11th Charity Cup in all.
Five from five in the league
The Malaysia Super League table has Johor Darul Ta’zim top with 15 points from five matches, all five won, 25 goals scored and none conceded. Kuching City FC are second, three points behind, in a table of 12.
Two cups still open
In the Malaysia FA Cup quarter-final, Johor Darul Ta’zim hold a 7-2 lead over Penang FC from the first leg on 20 September. The second leg is at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri on 9 October, one of two home matches in two days.
The AFC Champions League league stage opened at home with a 1-1 draw against Buriram United on 15 September. Pohang Steelers host the second match on 13 October.
So the trophy the club put at the top of its own list came before all of that, and October is where the rest of the list gets written.
