Selangor FC published an international round-up on 27 September, marking what their own players had done on national duty.
Nooa Laine played the full 90 minutes and provided an assist in Harimau Malaya’s win over Bangladesh, the club said, and Faisal Halim and Quentin Cheng both started.
The match behind the note
Harimau Malaya beat Bangladesh 3-0 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on 25 September, the Division 1 group-stage tie that opened their FIFA ASEAN Cup. The team card names the eleven who began it.
They return to the same ground tonight against Indonesia, kicking off at 8.30pm Malaysian time.
Selangor FC’s own season
Selangor FC sit third in the Malaysia Super League with 12 points from four matches, won four, drawn none and lost none, three points off the leaders in a table of 12. They have 13 goals for and 3 against.
The cup run is live as well. Selangor FC won 4-1 away at Star City FC on 19 September in the Malaysia FA Cup quarter-final, and the two meet again at MBPJ Stadium in Petaling Jaya on 11 October.
What a round-up is, and is not
A post of this kind is a club telling its own supporters where its players spent the window. It records what has already been played; it is not a team announcement, and it says nothing about the matches still to come.
