Harimau Malaya will play China and Yemen at Zhaoqing New District Sports Center in Guangdong, FAM said in a venue update posted on X on 3 November. The post describes the two fixtures as Tier 1 international matches for the squad coached by Tan Cheng Hoe.
The update replaces Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou, the ground FAM named in a post on 21 October. That earlier post put the China match on 14 November and the Yemen match on 17 November 2026. FAM had already announced the revised order of the two fixtures earlier in October, with China first.
The trip follows a third-place finish at the FIFA ASEAN Cup, where Harimau Malaya did not concede a goal in four matches. They beat Bangladesh 3-0 on 25 September, drew 0-0 with Indonesia on 28 September and beat Singapore 6-0 on 1 October in the group stage. A 1-0 win over Vietnam in the bronze final at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta followed on 5 October.
